Another successfully organized race by the good folks from Try Events. The big appeal for me was the 15k. It’s the perfect half way between a 10k and a half marathon. Also having the Creekside Community Centre as a start/finish venue space was great: clean bathrooms and no port-o-potties.
The weather was perfect at a balmy, springtime 12 degrees in January. God bless climate change.
There were no kids, no strollers and no dogs on the race. However, by the time I was returning through Yaletown it was about 10am and the Yaletowners were out in droves walking their dogs of every yapping, barking and drooling size. Even pit bulls and punting dogs.
