Last year, a pal pledged to get out every weekend in the winter. She’d go for a hike, snowshoe, cross country, downhill ski, toboggan, anything physical in the West Coast wilderness mountains – rain or shine.
Kind of similar to my Running for a Year program.
She invited me to hike Dog Mountain on Mount Seymour on November 30 after the first magical snowfall of the season. It was the morning after my first Christmas party. A Kevin Perra Christmas party to boot.
The hike wasn’t a Dog Day Afternoon at all.
It was idyllic. And only 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver.
Watch this 18 second video of a tranquil mountain creek I hiked past.
Isn’t that relaxing? I think of it when I meditate.
Here’s some gorgeous photos.
